Dr. Christopher Zimmer is a board-eligible, fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon serving patients throughout Palm Beach County at Momentum Foot & Ankle in Boynton Beach, Florida. With advanced training in complex lower extremity trauma, deformity correction, and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Zimmer brings hospital-level surgical expertise to a patient-centered, community-focused practice.
Dr. Zimmer believes that every patient deserves honest, transparent communication and a treatment plan built around their individual goals — whether that means conservative care or advanced surgical intervention. He takes the time to educate patients on all available options so they can make confident, well-informed decisions about their health.
Dr. Zimmer completed a dedicated Trauma & Reconstruction Fellowship at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida, where he received concentrated exposure to high-acuity fracture management, limb salvage, revision surgery, and complex reconstruction. His fellowship training included the management of pilon fractures, talar neck fractures, calcaneal fractures, midfoot injuries, and post-traumatic deformity — as well as tibiotalocalcaneal (TTC) arthrodesis utilizing custom 3D-printed truss technology.
Fellowship & Residency Training
Prior to fellowship, Dr. Zimmer completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residency with a rearfoot and reconstructive emphasis at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas — one of the largest hospital systems in the country. There, he developed comprehensive surgical skills from forefoot procedures to complex rearfoot reconstruction, gained extensive inpatient and outpatient perioperative experience, and personally evaluated and managed more than 300 pediatric foot and ankle patients.
Education
Dr. Zimmer earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland, California, graduating with a 3.67 GPA and Dean’s List recognition. He completed his undergraduate studies at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, earning a Bachelor of Science.

In 2025, he traveled to Honduras with Operation Footprint, where he evaluated complex congenital deformities and performed Ponseti casting and posteromedial release procedures — delivering life-changing care to patients with limited access to specialty services.
